Savage Gear Founder

Mads Grosell is the founder and designer of Savage Gear Fishing. From Copenhagen, Denmark, he started building lures and rods as a hobby. This then grew and became the behemoth that the company is now. He still is involved in painting the first version of every lure that they produce. The Baltic Sea is known for having saltier water than freshwater and but not as salty as sea water, so this leads to a wide variety of predator fish. This leads them to their mantra of “go big or go home”.  Companies often try to copy their high-quality fishing tackle; however, no one comes close to Savage Gear.

Savage Gear Fishing Lures

The Savage gear fishing lures are known to be the most lifelike and reliable fishing baits you can get today. This is done using their 3D Scanning and prototyping method, often using real life animals and fish. All the fishing lures have a real-life swim to them. Mads Grossel supposedly spends 100 days a year on the production line to make sure every fishing bait and piece of fishing tackle it comprehensively field tested.
